I have been a Wesleyan pastor for 15 years, but the 2012 General Conference is the first one I’ve attended. They are held every 4 years to elect church officers and deal with the business of the church. I am not here as an elected delegate, but as an exhibitor with The Techology Show. At the Wesleyan Gathering, we did lots of interviews and here we are doing that plus hosting a live chat during each session and rally. The highlight for me has been the round table discussions with David Drury, Keith Drury, and Stevan Sheets following each of the business sessions.
Our goal was to summarize and give commentary on each of the memorials offered. It has been an emotional time for me as the Spirit of the Lord has overwhelmed my soul at times. We have spent most of the time at our booth, but each time I have wandered into the Main Hall I have been moved emotionally. It has rocked me to my core.
I have found myself at times wondering,”What in the world am I doing here?” They’re even selling a devotional book I helped write with Scott Simmons at the Wesleyan Publishing House booth. I am having a blast. Stevan, Matthew Tietje and I have been physically and emotionally spent at the end of each day as I’ve taken to my “straw tick.” I love the Wesleyan Church and am more ready than ever to give my life to the work of the Kingdom.

I know you guys have to be running on equal parts coffee and Holy Spirit by now, but thank you very much for what you are doing! My wife and I listened to your recap from the last session yesterday, and it was great being able to catch up on all the business in a short period of time. We will definitely be catching up and watch the new recaps and interviews, but I wanted you to know all of your hard work is definitely appreciated.
